Legends says Siddha was founded by Lord Shiva and he taught the whole knowledge to his wife Goddess Parvathy. She trained these knowledge to her son Lord Muruga and Lord Ganesha. By the grace of Lord Muruga and Lord Ganesha, Sage Agasthy and other Siddhar (18 Siddhar) studied these Siddha Science. The word Siddha comes from the word Siddhi which means an object to be attained perfection or heavenly bliss
